Don’t forget to collect seeds and save them in paper bags and label.
The seeds that are around now are poppies and fox gloves. The seed heads of poppies and alliums make great dried flower decorations so save them as well.
Although we need to collect some seeds, dead heading flowers also make them last so much longer. So leave some for seeds and dead head the rest .
But keep picking your sweet peas, the more you pick the more will come. You can leave some for seed later in the year.

This is a great year for roses so keep them going by dead heading and giving a weekly feed.
Make sure your pots are well watered and fed, they often miss the rain. They will need a good soak not just a dash from a hose sprinkler.
Pick bunches of flowers and bring them indoors, the scents are heavenly and the more you pick the more they come.
