Join on us on this 6 night stitching holiday to the lovely city of Verona in the company of Mandy Shaw. Discover the wonderful textile exhibits at the Verona Tessile, visit the glorious city of Venice and immerse yourself in the splendours of Lake Garda. Get creative inspiration from these Italian scenic jewels on our included sightseeing programme and enjoy your favourite pastime with Mandy and your travelling companions.
This unique holiday includes a walking tour of Verona and a visit to one of the city’s textile shops. You’ll also visit Venice and the lace making island of Burano and a full day tour will introduce you to the magnificence of Lake Garda where there will be time to shop and relax at the lakeside resorts. Along with all of this you will enjoy 2 quilting workshops, hosted by Mandy.

Itinerary
DAY 1: VERONA (D)
Morning flight from London to Verona. On arrival transfer to your hotel. This evening join Mandy and your Tour Manager for a welcome dinner and a chat about the days to come.
DAY 2: VERONA (B)
This morning enjoy a guided walking tour of Verona. You’ll see the Piazza Bra with its ornate fountains and delightful pavement cafes and the magnificent Roman Arena, one of the largest in the world. Of course no visit to Verona would be complete without seeing the famous Romeo & Juliet balcony. A visit to a local textile shop has also been arranged and the owners will introduce you to a selection of superb fabrics, some used by leading Italian designers. This afternoon join Mandy for a workshop at the hotel. A project for you to enjoy will be designed by Mandy and details will be sent to you along with any equipment requirements before you travel.
DAY 3: LAKE GARDA (B)
An included full day tour will introduce you to the scenic splendour of Lake Garda. Surrounded by lush olive groves, vineyards and citrus trees and set against a stunning mountain backdrop, this is a wonderful spot. You’ll visit the walled medieval town of Sirmione with its castle and Roman ruins. Your journey continues along the western shores of the lake to picturesque Limone. There will be time to wander through the quaint narrow alleys before the ferry ride across the lake to Riva del Garda. From here your journey continues to the charming town of Malcesine where the cobbled streets lead to the lakeside. Here you can relax and perhaps enjoy a refreshing gelato or a chilled glass of prosecco.
DAY 4: VENICE & BURANO (B)
There is nowhere on earth quite like the extraordinary city of Venice with its canals, palaces and Renaissance architecture. You’ll see all the highlights on our included full day excursion and we also include a walking tour in the company of a local guide. A visit to Burano completes the day. The history of lace making on this Venetian island dates back to the early 16th century and a visit to Martina Vidal, a renowned atelier is included. There will be time to visit the showrooms and sales outlet here too.
DAYS 5 & 6: VERONA TESSILE (B)
Two days for you to enjoy the Verona Tessile at leisure. Visit museums and historical buildings at your own pace and enjoy all the sights, sounds and vibrancy that this unique event brings to this beautiful city. If you wish to book any workshops please contact the show organisers directly to reserve and pay for your place. During these two days there will also be a second afternoon/early evening workshop with Mandy at the hotel.
DAY 7: UK (B)
Transfer to the airport for the return flight to London.
